Stevenson Oaks is proud to add a new leader to their team, one who carries an impressive distinction. Bonnie Prado, a Nurse Practitioner (PRN), was hired as the community's Assisted Living Director. Those in the know will tell you that it is rare to see a Nurse Practitioner (PRN) in such a role. When asked what brought her to Stevenson Oaks, she had this to say, “senior living is great because it has so many different avenues." She added, “It’s true, PRN is not a title you typically see in this role, but I guess I’ve never been typical in my approach to work.”
Prado said she chose Stevenson Oaks because she wanted to find a place to work that matched her level of emphasis on character. “This is a place that shares my values, through and through,” she explained. “It was important to me to find a position that has the same commitment to ethics and beliefs that I have.”
For their part, Stevenson Oaks chose Prado because she brings something extra to the position, thanks to her PRN title. For a community that emphasizes attention to detail in resident care, Prado fit the bill.
“She’s able to give new residents, in particular, a more accurate assessment than they otherwise might get,” said Kristi Baird, Executive Director. “That level of assessment just simply isn’t found everywhere.”
Prado said the role has fit like a glove sharing, “we’re family here and that’s more than just a cliché we throw around,” she said. “Residents, employees – we’re all one big family and we care for and about one another the same way a family does.”
