Devotional Thought

This time of year has always been very   special to me. There is something spectacular about closing the door of winter and opening the door of possibilities that springtime brings. There are signs of new life all around us from the budding trees to the new nests being built by our favorite neighborhood birds. Sometimes we can get caught up in the mundane of everyday life. This month is a great opportunity to reset our hearts, minds, and spiritual eyes on God’s promises of renewal. We have a choice each day to see our lives through the lenses of our physical eyes or our spiritual eyes. When we focus on our spiritual eyes, God shows us our purpose and fills our hearts with peace and a joy that cannot be shaken no matter our circumstances. Psalm 16:11 tells us, “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy.” As we watch God’s creation begin to bloom this month, let’s choose to have our spiritual eyes wide open to see the way God is working all around us. You are so treasured by our Heavenly Father and by all of us here at MRC.
